Welcome to the IPA

IPA Code of Professional Practice

The IPA provides the Code of Professional Practice (COPP) as the standard for professional conduct in the insolvency profession.

The primary purposes of the COPP are to:

  • educate IPA members as to their professional responsibilities; and
  • provide a reference for stakeholders against which they can gauge the conduct of Practitioners.

The sections of the Code on Remuneration and Independence came into effect on the 31st December 2007. The balance of the Code commenced on 21 May 2008. Please feel free to download a copy.

For members we have provided a number of important templates and a dynamic section on frequently asked questions.

The Code embodies our core values:

  • Integrity
  • Transparency
  • Accountability
  • Technical Proficiency

building professional excellence
